Fortune 500 Financial Management Software

Overview

Lost Context Media was tasked with building an SEO-focused content library for the top small business accounting software in the US. The twist was the content would be for their mid-market software product, where the customer was enterprise-level companies.

Content Strategy

The content strategy was to shift the perception that the software was something that businesses that weren’t so small anymore “grew out of.”

Lost Context went to work creating content for the entire content marketing funnel. We attacked non-branded keywords on advanced business and accounting topics that were supported by the software’s strengths. Our team sourced subject matter experts to create in-depth guides, explainers, and trend pieces for select keywords to drive relevant, targeted traffic to the mid-market blog category.

Our team also created mid- and lower-funnel blog posts that focused on software features and jobs-to-be-done that showed how the product solved complex business management and accounting problems. All of these product-centric posts were optimized for SEO to increase discoverability and ensure each post had value in search.

In addition to top and mid-funnel content, our team created a suite of premium gated content including long-form ebooks and whitepapers to increase conversions and get more qualified leads into the sales funnel.
